ALL JANUARY AND FEBRUARY SERVICES CANCELLED

The PCC met on 25/01/2021 to discuss services for February in the light of the pandemic. It was agreed that to keep people as safe as possible we would not have any church services in person throughout the month.
We will review this again towards the end of the month to look at March.

In the meantime why not have a look at our on-line services?

Our churches will remain open for private prayer – Capel every day 9am-4pm and Ockley at weekends

Christmas Fair Cancelled

It is with great sadness that Debbie and I have decided to cancel the first Capel Christmas Fair 2020 in aid of our Parish churches in Capel & Ockley and the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA).

It was due to take place on Saturday 14th November 2020 in Capel and we have now advised our stallholders and charities.

This has been a difficult decision but one that we wanted to make as early as possible for everyone’s sake. It simply doesn’t seem that it will be possible to host a large event in November 2020 with the possibility of a resurgence of the virus in winter and the restrictions and impositions that might bring with it. It is far more important that we encourage everyone to stay safe!

Let us hope that the next few months perhaps see a breakthrough with either treatment or a vaccine for Covid-19 that will allow larger events to begin once more. We can only hope!

We would very much like to THANK everyone who has taken a chance on us – either by booking a stall at an inaugural fair and those who were keen to support us in any way they could! If you are reading this and are a stallholder who would be interested in taking part in next year’s one, please do get in touch with us!

We are aiming for Saturday 13th November 2021 in both Capel’s Memorial & Parish halls as before and have re-invited the same stalls and food providers. We very much hope that Covid-19 will be more under control by then and we can proceed. In the meantime, we wish everyone well … stay safe, stay alert and let’s beat this virus! We hope to see you in November 2021!

Best wishes,
Suzanne Cole & Debbie von Bergen
