Giving

“All things come from you, and of your own do we give you”

Regular giving

Gift AidNothing in this world runs without money and a church is no exception. Regular giving is a great way to support your church as it helps towards planning our activities. Regular income enables mission and ministry. It supports our work in the village and will ensure we can continue to do so in the future. Of course as with any organisation there are bills to pay as well.

If you are a member of the congregation or want to become one then your giving could be a response to the giving of a generous God.

Please contact the treasurer for information regarding regular giving through the Parish Giving Scheme. Gift Aid adds 25% of the value of your giving so is a valuable source of income to us. Please consider it if you decide on regular giving.

Church Legacy: A lasting gift to your church

Gifts in Wills are an important part of Christian giving, and leaving a gift to the church is a way to thank God for all the blessings you have received in your lifetime. Many of us give regularly to the church each week or month from our income; why not from our estates too? It’s also a way to give thanks to God for the gifts of our life and lifetime.

For further information see the CofE web pages on leaving a legacy.

Giving time

Giving doesn’t always have to be money. Giving time can be just as important. There are many opportunities for volunteering. Many jobs and tasks are filled by volunteers giving up their time in order to serve God, our Church and the community. If you think you might want to join the ranks please contact the vicar who will relay your interest.

We are always on the lookout for people willing to join

  • The choir
  • Rota for Tea & Coffee after the services
  • Sides persons who officiate at services
  • Reader rota
  • Cleaners
  • Teas in Church helpers
  • PCC members
  • Team of Christian Aid collectors
  • etc

Time is a precious commodity these days. You decide how much you are willing to ‘give’ but every gift of time is most welcome.
