Dear friends,
Earlier this week I spotted this red kite over our house. At first glance the silhouette was normal but close inspection shows the ragged appearance of this majestic bird. It’s only recently that I learned that all birds moult this time of year and many small songbirds are in hiding until they have their new plumage.
Let’s hope that all survive this challenge and see a new spring.
