Dear friends,
This week, when out and about, I heard birds of prey calling. Looking up I saw this pair of courting red kites.
What a great come-back these birds have made with numbers going up steadily. The same goes for buzzards and other birds of prey, many close to extinction in this country half a century ago.
There are still many bird species in decline. We must learn from this success story and do what we can to turn the tide for them.
