What a summer we’re having!
All village shows are blessed with great weather and it all helps with the fundraising we do for our villages. The picture today was taken at the Leigh village show. In all my time living in Surrey this was my first time at that show. It was vast and varied and this delightful display of utility engines caught my eye. Most of them over 100 years old but in good working order. They would have been used to pump water, mill grain and a multitude of other tasks that would otherwise take up a lot of time. We may try to get this display to the Capel show next year.
