Dear friends,
This is my favourite vase. Somehow all flowers look better when arranged in it.
I believe it was one of several used by my grandmother in her flowershop to display the goods for sale. My grandfather ran the landscaping business and between them they did not have much spare time.
The tulips are beautiful and remind me of the story that in the winter of 1944/5 my grandmother sold tulip bulbs for food as there wasn’t much else to eat (or sell!).
